Foods to eat:

Non-starchy vegetables : Add leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers and tomatoes to your diet. These foods are low in calories and high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals

Foods to avoid:

Sugar beverages : Avoid sugar drinks such as soda, fruit juices, and sweetened teas because these can rapidly raise blood sugar levels.

Alcohol:Reduce your alcohol consumption as it can affect blood sugar levels and interact with diabetes medications.

Processed and refined carbohydrates: Reduce the consumption of white bread, white rice, pasta, and sugary cereals. These foods can cause a sharp increase in blood sugar levels.
